My Impossible List

Making the impossible possible.

Cinderella is one of my favorite Disney movies. To me, it’s a story of action, of believing in one’s self enough to make your dreams come true.

Even if other’s think your dreams are impossible, only you have to believe… It’s possible.

So, I created my Impossible list.

I first got the idea from Thomas Frank, the creator of CollegeInfoGeek, however, Joel Runyon is the inventor of the world’s first impossible list. He defined the difference between it and a regular ‘ole bucket list. Put simply, the impossible list is an ever-evolving list of experiences that build upon each other, help others as well as yourself, and implore you to take action.

Here’s mine.

Now It’s Your Turn.

Create your own Impossible List and make the impossible – possible.

Steps:

  1. Quick! Grab a piece of paper.
  2. Set a timer for 10 minutes.
  3. Jot down everything you have ever wanted to do – challenge yourself.
  4. Display your list where you can view it often
    • Private – journal, planner, phone, your wall
    • Public – Social Media, on your website – like me 😉
  5. Choose three impossibilities from your list and create a strategy to make it possible.
  6. Think of people who can support you in accomplishing your goal – reach out to them.
  7. Take a picture or video of you accomplishing it.
  8. Share your experience!

5 Tips to Remember:

  1. This list is ever-evolving.
  2. Make clear measurable goals, I would suggest using the SMART method.
  3. Add goals that are outside of your comfort zone
  4. It’s a challenge – have fun with it!
  5. It’s okay to ask for help – even Cinderella had assistance.

If you would like to share your list with me and/or your successes I would love to see it!
